What We'll Cover:

A survey panel answers the question that was asked. Category conversation answers the ones nobody thought to ask, and it runs continuously at a scale no panel reaches. This session covers how Quid reads unmet demand out of what consumers already say about a category.

The method starts with the category, not the product. Cluster what people complain about, substitute, modify, or ask for outright, then watch how long each theme holds and who keeps carrying it.

Durability is what separates a gap from a mood. A seasonal spike and a standing unmet need look identical in a single week and nothing alike across two quarters.

Then we'll build a category whitespace map live in the session.

Find Demand Nobody Surveyed For
Surface needs described in customers' own words across social, forum, review, and search data, without writing a question first.

Tell A Real Gap From A Passing Complaint
Separate a durable unmet need from a seasonal spike by tracking how long a theme holds and which audiences sustain it.

Size The Whitespace Before Committing To It
Put volume, growth, and audience behind a gap so a roadmap conversation opens with evidence instead of instinct.

The Example: A Category Whitespace Map, Built Live In The Session

Rather than present a finished case, we'll build the map during the hour: pick a category, pull the conversation around it, and watch the unmet needs sort themselves into clusters. Bring a category and we'll run it.

Expect to see which gaps have been growing, which are seasonal, and how any one of them traces back to the actual posts and reviews behind it, in the words customers already use. Time is held at the end for questions on applying the same map to a specific line or market.
